A pretty boring city that happens to be the capital of Brasil. The city was planned from scratch, but I guess they forgot to put in the sidewalks and shops.

Trips

Brazil

7/13/2011: I arrived in Brasilia at 2 in the morning for a long layover, but that did not work out so well, and I ended up waiting in the airport until the bus started running at 6:00AM. I was really amazed at how boring the city was without shops or any reason to spend any time there. There are rumors of a cool national park in Brasilia, but I never did find my way there, and anyway, I was stuck with my bags after TAM airlines would not allow me to have an early check-in. I ended up walking around in the city park which was not as bad as you would think.
