The northern black-throated trogon, also known as the graceful black-throated trogon, is a bird in the family Trogonidae, the trogons and quetzals. It is found from southeastern Honduras to northwestern Colombia.

    Corcovado National Park - La Sirena, Costa Rica
    There is some confusion on this one as it had a yellowish eye-ring. The bird was seen deep in the forest, and all other characteristics point to this ID. The bird had a green crown and yellow bill. See pic (male). Possibly a juvenile?
