2012-07-10: I arrived late on July 9 to the Buffalo River State Park in an attempt to find the Prairie Chicken and the Upland Sandpiper. Chances were going to be slim for finding the chicken, but as long as I was there. After an exciting meal alone at the Mexican restaurant in Fargo, I camped for the night in the park. I had a quick walk around, but I did not see any definite prairie chickens though there was a lot of movement in the tall grass. The next day, I woke up at 5:00 in the morning to look again for the Prairie Chicken. In that attempt, I saw several White-tailed Deer. Birds 5, Scott 1
