Site Report: Hacienda La Aurora

• 2025-07-17: We stopped en route to Cajas National Park to look for some of the lower elevation species. The road into the national park has been deforested to an extent by people trying to raise cattle and by weekend getaway ranches. It was raining fairly steadily for most of the morning, and we were not getting a lot of good views. Later in the morning, the rain stopped, and we were treated to a nice mixed flock. Unfortunately, there was not any access to the lakes area after people had set fires earlier in the year.
