Global Range: RESIDENT: central and southern China, Hainan, Formosa, and northern Indochina. INTRODUCED: established in southwestern British Columbia (1890s; Vancouver vicinity), Japan, and Philippines. Recorded casually, possibly escaped birds, in western Washington and northwestern Oregon (Portland) (AOU 1983). Apparently not spreading from Vancouver.
