- 2021-07-09: We drove north from Reykjavik driving through a ridiculously long tunnel before arriving at some town with a gas station. We met a couple of people there who had gone much closer to the volcano than we did. But their photos showed some glowing fog, much better than the steaming rock in fog that we saw. They were off to climb up to some glacier.
