Suvuti is in the south central part of the Chobe National Park. It is much drier here with only watering holes to support wildlife. Some of the watering holes are man-made.
Visits
- 2002-12-06: We arranged an eight day camping safari for just the two of us in town, and this was our first campground. It took the better part of the day driving in sand to arrive here, but there was plenty to see on the way. We camped in this part of the park for a couple of days. We were promised beer by the safari company, but we ran out on the first night... mostly because the company owner drank most of the beer. At the nearby rich people's lodge, an elephant had died and was being scavenged. We could hear the lions and hyenas howling at night from the tents.
