Site Report: Longyearbyen Airport

Airport and small mining town.

2015-03-18: We arrived at the airport into some very cold and windy weather. Then, I found out that a bottle of rum in my checked bag had been smashed and soaked up by a couple of my layers. We geared up to start our trip on snow machines out to a cabin. The island was pretty much completely fogged in, and the eclipse prospects were looking dim.
