This reserve was a previous hunting ground for the San people. The terrain was mostly light forest amidst a lot of sand with a small river running through the area.
Visits
- 2002-12-08: After leaving the Chobe National Park, we headed over to the Moremi Game Reserve for a couple of nights in the bush camp. We made expeditions by truck during the daytime to look for various wildlife. We returned from our campsite to find the cook besieged by food stealing vervet monkeys. While the monkeys aggressively tried to steal food, baboons casually grabbed scraps due to the diverted attention. We could barely cook our dinner because of the monkeys, and I spent a couple of hours trying to chase them away from camp.
