Lake in Kenya

Visits

  • 2013-11-07: For our last day in Kenya, we decided to visit a couple of areas in the south end of Lake Navaisha. We stayed overnight next to the lake shore, and in the morning, we walked around a nearby crater lake. The crater lake was interesting as the first thing we saw was a hyena grabbing a lesser flamingo. Then, we lost the main trail on the walk around the lake, and we ended up inside the crater with all the animals. It was a bit disconcerting when a group of about 25 buffalo started stampeding somewhere within hearing range.
