Visits
- 2013-10-31: Mt. Elgon climbed, it was time to start heading north toward the eclipse path. Just north of Kitale, the Saiwa Swamp National Park provided an opportunity to find the elusive Sitatunga antelope, and I was able to convince everyone that it was worth it to look for the antelope. We camped at some old-school farmhouse near the swamp where the dinner was straight out of 1930's Britain (or so I was told). After another rainstorm, we joined Morris, a local guide, for our trip to the swamp.
