2013-02-18: We were going to do the bus/car combo to get to Guwahati and from there to somehow escape from Assam. During the whole time in Assam, so far, we were pretty much removed from the modern conveniences such as the internet and the telephone. Then, during the bus ride, we encountered quite the traffic jam at the bridge crossing. We were too late to get a reservation on the train, and it took quite awhile to find a decent hotel room. We finally found a business hotel with internet, and we were able to book a flight onward. In the meantime, we visited a temple on the outskirts of town on the way to the airport.
