A small town about 7 miles away from the resort town of San Blas. Land birding is mostly in an agricultural setting, but there are patches of scrubby forest as well as marsh land. I found a man willing to take me out in a boat to a lagoon near the town.

- 2008-01-06: Walk around the swamp and agricultural areas near town.
- 2008-01-08: Two visits on consecutive mornings. First I took a few mile walk on a road next to farmland and swamp land. The next day, I went with Camilo in his canoe to a brackish water lagoon.
