Visits
- 2012-01-19: We stopped here for a nap on the way to Kaikoura. This spot is supposed to be good for the Australasian Coot, and we saw four of them! In fact, this was the only place in New Zealand that we saw the coot. In addition to the coot, there were several billion sheep around the lagoon. Even though I am a vegetarian, the sheep hated me, and they were running in all directions to get away. Your babies are safe around me scaredy-sheep.
