Sacred Ibis (Threskiornis aethiopicus)

Spur-winged Goose (Plectropterus gambensis)
This bridge on the north end of Hawassa is supposed to be a good place to find hippos.
Visits
- 2011-01-11: We headed north from Yabello with the intention to visit Wondo Genet. Asaminew, our driver, mentioned a birding spot next to a bridge in Hawassa, and we had missed that spot on our first visit. The spot consisted mostly of Spur-winged geese, but it is also supposed to be good for hippos at night.
