Punta Patina has a lodge owned by Ancon Expeditions. The area is dry forest with some mangroves and beach areas. The rooms here are air conditioned...

Visits

  • 2009-03-19: We arrived here in the early afternoon after a boat ride from Mogue. We spent the rest of the day walking around the dry forest in the vicinity of the lodge. The sunset on the beach was spectacular. A flock of thousands of barn swallows passed over the beach. That night, we walked into the swampy area in search of the Capybara which we did not find. We did see a bunch of crocodiles, however. The next morning, it was time to fly back to Panama City. We took a charter flight from the runway at the lodge.
