Unidentified Toad

White-crowned Pigeon (Patagioenas leucocephala)
The Corn Islands are a pair of islands offshore from Nicaragua in the Caribbean. The islands are heavily impacted by residents, their dogs, and tourists. The ocean near the islands is rich in Lobster and even a few coral reefs persist.
Visits
- 2009-02-12: We arrived at the airport on Big Corn Island which was more or less overrun by people and their dogs. We stayed there for only a couple of hours waiting for the boat to Little Corn Island. Little Corn Island was even more overrun by humanity, but at least there were not cars. We stayed for three nights mostly because of the cost of getting out here. I liked the buildings made from the piles of beach trash. This is the complete species list from the 3 days on the islands.
