- 2025-12-07: We used the last bits of light to try and see the Ground Parrot in the heathland near town. There were very few birds in the area, however.
- 2025-12-08: We got up early to try and look for the Ground Parrot again. This time we drove over to the Shiprock Creek area. There were a lot of flies, but there were not Ground Parrot so far as we could tell.
