Visits

  • 2025-11-15: After lunch, we headed over to the eastern suburbs of Melbourne eventually planning to catch up with the Entomological Society of Victoria for moth viewing. Some people from the group set up sheets which were lit up to attract moths. I brilliantly forgot to bring my good moth lens, so the photos here are not my best... There is a very rare butterfly in the habitat. We had to be very quick with our lights not to disturb it. Ants are basically farming this caterpillar to get some nectar off the caterpillar.
