Farm next to rain forest
Visits
- 2025-03-23: After a long drive around the island, a stop for pizza, and a trip to the grocery store, we met the farm's caretaker next to the road. The way in to the farm involved a very rutted road with plants overgrown everywhere. I was worried that I was scratching up the sides of the car. We arrived at the farm, and immediately, we saw a bunch of parrots flying overhead.
- 2025-03-24: We were greeted on return from our volcano summit with a bowl of soup made from the local ingredients. We walked around near the farm where we saw quite a few parrots flying around. The owner of the farm said they were planting some fruit trees hoping to attract the parrots.
- 2025-03-25: It was time to leave the guesthouse, but we squeezed in every last minute before heading off.
