• 2025-03-01: Returning to Tangier after 27 years, it turns out the city has changed a bit. In 1997, I was in Tangier where I was possibly drugged and then sold a bunch of tourist schwag while drugged. After that scam, the guide tried to take us down a dark alley. When I declined, there was some hashish thrown at my feet with a warning about the police if I didn't give them money. Anyway, none of that happened this time. Barbara did get into a hard sell with a pair of slippers at the port. She thought the slippers were too much, but I convinced her to buy them anyway to use the leftover Moroccan money. The slippers were so cheap that we ended up with leftover money anyway, and they would not accept the Moroccan money on the ferry.
