Visits
- 2025-02-11: We arrived in Stone Town via the ferry from Pemba. The ferry was a bit late, and there was not much of interest to see between the two islands. We arrived again to a crush of touts and taxis, but we were quickly able to ditch them and walk to our nearby hotel. After settling in at the hotel (who had lost our reservation), we decided to take a walk around a nearby swamp. This was soon abandoned as the swamp was pretty badly polluted, and some touts started messing with us.
- 2025-02-13: Hung around in the town after our trip to the rice fields
- 2025-02-14: In the very early morning, we took a trip back to the polluted swamp near the ferry terminal. Later in the day, we attended a music festival at the old fort.
- 2025-02-15: Our trip to Tanzania was coming to a close with a ferry ride back to Dar Es Salaam. We had hoped to go visit a mountain park on the outskirts of Dar Es Salaam, but unfortunately, we got into a substandard taxi involving an attempt to change prices en route.
