Visits

  • 2024-09-01: After our trip out to the Komodo Islands, we were not really sure what to do for our next three days. I found a hotel that looked promising, but it was difficult to make the arrangement. In the end, we were driving down a very narrow road late at night. Fortunately, it was actually pretty easy to find the place eventually.
  • 2024-09-02: Woke up early and walked on the road near the cabin where we stayed overnight. There were tons of kids walking to school in the road along with a few motorcycles. The motorcycle drivers would often pull over to chat before heading off to work. We walked all around the area and eventually to a cool waterfall/swimming area. Later that afternoon, we walked up the mountain part of the way hoping to see more nightjars.
  • 2024-09-03: Decided to walk up the hill before the ride back to the airport.
