2024-08-17: We arrived without much problem in Kupang. But, there was not a lot happening when we arrived there. We decided to hire a driver through an app to go visit a nearby waterfall. We got a very excited driver who called all his friends and family to show us off. One of his friends was imprisoning rare to extinct birds (Cockatoos, mynas) which I did not appreciate. This guy also wanted to bomb everyone back to the stone age. The waterfall itself was nice enough, but the road to get there was very slow, It would have been better to do the road by bike.
