Visits
- 2024-04-03: After hiking up the canyon, we followed the garmin along a bunch of crazy roads on the way back up the mountain. We got to the turnoff for the cabin and stopped there with some flor de calabeza quesadillas. Also, we were surprised to find that the cafeteria was open further up the mountain. After arriving at the cabin and getting settled, the very first bird that I heard calling was the target Dwarf Jay, but we did not get a great look at it.
- 2024-04-04: Woke up early to look for the jays, and I was surprised to see long-tailed wood partridges right next to our cabin. I continued exploring the area of the cabin, and after a couple of hours, I looked up to see the Dwarf Jay just a couple of feet in front of me.
