- 2024-04-01: We got an early start and drove up the road near Pluma Hidalgo in search of the Blue-capped Hummingbird. We were walking around for awhile and seeing a bunch of hummingbirds, but not that one. Just before we returned to the car, however, the hummingbird was there right above my head. Some construction had started just above where I parked the car, and we were lucky that we weren't trapped behind a huge pile of dirt.
