Palaces and forest in the middle of Kyoto
Visits
- 2024-02-29: On the way back to the Kyoto Station, we took a detour getting out of the subway to walk through the Imperial Garden. It was raining even harder and nearly freezing. This might have been a blessing because the palace was nearly devoid of tourists as we walked through. We got a very close encounter with a raptor in the gardens, but I had just put my camera away due to the rain. We got back on the subway and continued to Kyoto Station where we got lost again. Then, we looked at every restaurant before Barbara found some random place on the internet. After a lot of walking around, we actually found the restaurant even though the sign was all Japanese.
