Stow Lake is a shallow man-made lake in Golden Gate Park. There is a wooded island of non-native trees in the middle of the lake, and then another pond in the middle of the island. It is good for gulls and the occasional migrant waterbird. If you feel so inclined, you can explore the lake by paddleboat.
