Forest

Visits

  • 2023-08-06: I read about a nearby Harpy Eagle nest, so I was up at 4:30 for the trip to this place. We drove down a really crap road for over an hour, and then we walked for awhile through a forest path. It was a lot more hot and humid at this lower altitude. When we finally got to the Harpy nest, the eagles were not there. After a couple of hours waiting, however, the juvenile eagle showed up. Then, one of the parents showed with the head of a sloth.
