Trips
Malaysia
3/21/2023
: After a long drive through a lot of oil palms, we arrived at the logging area. This area is selectively logged, so there is still some wildlife around.
We went out for a drive in the afternoon rain to look for Orangutans. Just as we were turning around to give up, I noticed some movement in the trees. It was a large male Orangutan.
3/22/2023
: We returned to the site where we saw the Orangutan making his nest, and we arrived in time to see him relaxing. Then, we walked around in some different parts of the forest.
3/23/2023
: Time to leave the forest, but not before a close encounter with some unseen elephants in the forest.
