Goethalsia bella is uncommon in the foothills of Cerro Sapo, Cerro Pirre and the Serranía de Jungurudo (G. R. Angehr
in litt. 2000) in east Darién,
Panama, and the adjacent extreme north-west Chocó in
Colombia.
