3/5/2016: After all the backroads travel, I was pretty much fed up with the coughing, back pain, and dirt, so I checked in to a nicer hotel for some down time. The menu at the hotel restaurant included an expensive plate of spaghetti. The spaghetti was the same price as the seafood dishes! In my experience, East Asian countries do not have a clue about cooking Italian food, but this time it was spectacular.



3/6/2016: Spent the day wandering around the air-conditioned mall near the hotel as I waited for my friend to arrive from London. After a full day in Manado, I was ready to head back into the wilds.
