Trips

Africa: Eastern and Southern 12/2/2002: We spent a couple of nights the Chobe Safari Lodge in Kasane from where we did a river boat safari and another safari in a very large vehicle. The truck trip took us to some radio collared lions... not sure if they tracked them that way. We had great views from the bar.

Finally, we did a discount lion safari to get to the eclipse site. The discount safari is when you take the public bus through the national park. The other local people in the mini-bus thought we were a bit odd when we got excited about some elephants, but they started to get into the safari a little toward the end of the ride. Elephants are less exciting when you grew up with them.
