Iringa - Isimila Stone Age Site, Tanzania (Center on Interactive Map)

20 or so kilometers outside of town is the Isimila Store Age Site. This was a spot used to quarry rocks for stone tools hundreds of thousands of years ago, but there is not much to see on location except for some cool rock formations.

Africa: Eastern and Southern 11/20/2002: Barbara and I arrived here via taxi from Iringa. We walked around the site and then hitchhiked to Mbeya with a missionary.
